As a Logistics operator and volunteer firefighter, Alex brings the same commitment to safety, teamwork and excellence to both roles - demonstrating how Norco employees make a meaningful impact not only on site, but throughout the community.

Norco’s Partners in Education (PIE) Day brings the joy of reading to life as employees volunteer in local classrooms, inspiring young minds through storytelling and connection. By sharing their time and passion, volunteers help spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage a lifelong love of learning—while strengthening meaningful ties between Shell and the surrounding community.

The United Way of St. Charles celebrates the powerful impact of community generosity, raising over $3.7 million to support vital programs across the parish. With strong leadership and outstanding contributions from partners like Shell Norco, this year’s campaign showcases the difference that collective giving, volunteerism, and local commitment can make in building a stronger, more resilient community.

Shell celebrates its continued partnership with LSU by welcoming new engineering graduates and interns to its Norco site, highlighting hands-on experience, industry collaboration, and career opportunities in energy-focused fields.

Norco raised over $51,000 during its Back in Black turnaround—tied to strong safety performance—to fund Make‑A‑Wish trips for three local children: Allison, Shelby, and Zayden. The kids enjoyed Disney vacations and were given special “bon voyage” gifts. VP Tammy Little said the partnership inspires the team to work safely while bringing joy to families.

Emergency Response Team Lead Jamie Latiolais credits the Air Force with giving him direction, discipline, and a lifelong career in firefighting. After joining the military at a young age, he trained as a firefighter, served at Rhein Main Air Base, and traveled widely, gaining exposure to diverse cultures and approaches to emergency response. His military experience, ongoing education, and commitment to continuous learning shaped his path to Norco, where he now coordinates incident response. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and time with his two children.

Norco recently partnered with the Matthew 25:35 Food Pantry for a day of service. Fourteen volunteers supported the organization’s distribution efforts by unloading trucks, setting up food stations, and loading vehicles for area families.

In recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of service, Shell’s Black Network Group joined the River Road African American Museum in Donaldsonville for its annual MLK Day of Service.

95^th Shell Volunteers partnered with the Pontchartrain Conservancy to plant 1,000 trees in nearby Wetland Watchers Park to help fortify the shoreline and create new wildlife habitat.

Secretary Giocometto toured upgrades to the Shell Norco facility and visited with site workers to learn about investments to reduce emissions and enhance infrastructure.
