Shell Norco Celebrates its 95th Anniversary at Wetland Watchers Park

In honor of Shell Norco's 95th anniversary, ninety-five employees partnered with the Pontchartrain Conservancy to plant 1,000 trees at Wetland Watchers Park in St. Charles Parish.

A large group gathers in front of a pavilion holding a banner that reads 'OUR ROOTS RUN DEEP,' surrounded by flags in an open grassy area under a cloudy sky.

These trees will help fortify the Lake Pontchartrain shoreline, create new wildlife habitat, and support local air quality. At the event, Shell Norco General Manager Tammy Little announced a $175,000 donation to the St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department to help rebuild the park’s pier, which was damaged in Hurricane Ida.

“Shell's Roots Run Deep in St. Charles Parish. To us, being a good neighbor means more than safely clocking in and out; it means actively supporting the places and communities that have been the foundation of our business for nearly a century.”
