The Shell Fuel Rewards® program at Shell is a free loyalty program that helps you save money on fuel. Customers earn discounts on fuel whenever they use their Shell Fuel Rewards® Card, ALT ID (phone number), or linked payment card at the pump or inside a participating Shell station.
How to Join:
- Sign up by downloading the Shell App from the App Store or Google Play Store
Note: Not all Shell stations participate in the Fuel Rewards® program.

Shell Fuel Rewards® Program – How It Works and How You Save
The Shell Fuel Rewards® program helps you save money at the pump by giving you cents‑per‑gallon discounts—called Shell Fuel Rewards® savings—that apply automatically during your fill‑ups at participating Shell stations.
Your savings begin with your Tier Status:
- 10¢/gal with Platinum Status
- 5¢/gal with Gold Status
- 3¢/gal with Silver Status
You can boost your savings by earning additional Shell Fuel Rewards® savings through participating brands and partners such as T‑Mobile, AAA, American Airlines, and others. These rewards stack on top of your Tier Status, allowing you to lower your fuel price even further.
Members can earn Shell Fuel Rewards® savings in several ways, including:
- Shell fuel purchases
- Convenience store purchases at participating locations
- Dining at participating restaurants
- Shopping with select grocers
- Completing offers through partner brands

Are there any Gallon Limits when redeeming Shell Fuel Rewards®?
Shell Fuel Rewards® members (Platinum, Gold or Silver) can now redeem their savings on up to 35 gallons per fill up when just redeeming their tier status. However, if the redemption is stacked with any other Shell Fuel Rewards® offers, the maximum redemption limit is 20gallons.
Scenario: If a Shell Fuel Rewards® member has additional rewards (e.g. from Dining or from an email offer) in their account balance, they will be prompted to choose “Yes” to redeem all their rewards up to 20 gallons, or “No” to redeem only Platinum, Gold or Silver Status rewards up to 35 gallons.
- Shell Fuel Rewards® members who redeem ONLY their Platinum, Gold or Silver Status rewards (10¢, 5¢ or 3¢) on a fuel purchase can redeem their savings up to 35 gallons.
- If the Shell Fuel Rewards® member chooses to redeem any rewards in addition to their Platinum, Gold or Silver Status rewards, the fuel savings will be limited to 20 gallons.

Does my Shell Fuel Rewards® savings ever expire?
Most rewards expire on the last day of the month. Some rewards are available longer than others, but all rewards are available for at least one month. See below for details on expiration for each program offer.
1-Month Expiration
Rewards earned through the following offers expire on the last day of the month, one full month following the month in which they were earned.
Ex: Earn a reward on June 15, and the reward will expire on July 31. In-Store Rewards
2-Month Expiration
Rewards earned through the following offers expire on the last day of the month, two full months following the month in which they were earned.
Ex: Earn a reward on June 15, and the reward will expire on August 31. Online Shopping and Rental Cars.
3-Month Expiration
Rewards earned through the following offers expire on the last day of the month, three full months following the month in which they were earned.
Ex: Earn a reward on June 15, and the reward will expire on September 30.
Dining
30-Day Expiration
Rewards earned through the following offers expire
30 days after the reward is earned.
Ex: Earn a reward on June 15, and the reward will expire on July 15.

Fuel prices often fluctuate throughout the day, month, and year due to a variety of factors, including changes in crude oil prices, taxes, and supply and demand dynamics.

We understand that your rewards were taken out of your account after your transaction was cancelled. Once a transaction is cancelled, the rewards are locked in the process. After the cancellation process is completed, your rewards will be returned to your account within 24 hours.

How do I protect the data associated with my Shell Fuel Rewards® account?
There are several ways to protect yourself.
Here are three immediate steps you can take to protect your information:
Keep your software up to date:
Software has vulnerabilities, and attackers find, target and exploit these vulnerabilities on a daily basis, which is why you need to be diligent about applying the patches and updates that your software providers issue. Most of these updates can be applied automatically, but you should schedule a regular time to review your software
"portfolio" and manually apply any patches or updates that, for whatever reason, can't be automated. Be aware that attackers may try to fool you into installing malware by making you think it's an update, so be sure to apply only trusted patches that you have accessed directly from the software provider's website.
Be smart about your passwords:
Make sure that your passwords are unique and complex - at least eight characters, including a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. Many consumers are turning to password managers to help themselves out with this important but tedious chore.
Be aware — even suspicious — of email attachments and web links:
One of the most basic things you can do to protect yourself is to manually type the web address for your bank, for example, as opposed to clicking on the link that purports to take you to your banking website. Trust your instincts. If it looks or sounds suspicious, it probably is.
