(ISSUED at 7:00 PM CST) Shell continues actively monitoring Hurricane Zeta as it makes landfall along the Louisiana coast. As a precautionary measure at our Stones asset, we evacuated non-essential personnel and shut in production. We also safely paused some of our drilling operations. Currently, we are shutting in production at our Appomattox asset due to downstream impacts. There are no other impacts to our production across the Gulf of Mexico at this time.

We will continue to monitor weather reports and respond accordingly. As always, the safety of our people, the environment and our assets is Shell’s top priority.

Any personnel moved from or to our assets will continue to adhere to our existing strict COVID-19 risk mitigation measures, and all personnel will be required to pass our COVID-19 screening process prior to returning to work offshore.
