(ISSUED at 4:00PM CST) Shell manufacturing facilities along the Louisiana coast, Convent, Geismar and Norco, plan to continue operating during Hurricane Delta.

We continue to follow a multi-phase plan to protect people and ensure equipment reliability. The plan is premised on the projected path and severity of the storm and can be adjusted to fit changing weather conditions.

Shell’s facilities have a workforce on duty at all times that can operate and maintain a facility safely or, if necessary, shut down the units in a safe, controlled manner.

Our top priority is to protect people, assets, nearby communities and the environment. If conditions lead to an evacuation due to a shift in Hurricane Delta’s forecasted track, we are prepared to carry out plans in a safe and orderly way.
