(ISSUED at 09:30 AM CST) Shell is monitoring Hurricane Delta for potential impacts to its assets and operations in the Gulf of Mexico. As a precautionary measure, Shell is preparing to shut down production at several assets and has begun evacuating non-essential personnel from all nine of its assets in the Gulf of Mexico.

All drilling rigs are securing operations.

Any personnel moved from, or to, our assets will continue to adhere to our existing strict COVID-19 risk mitigation measures, and all personnel will be required to pass our COVID-19 screening process prior to returning to work offshore. As always, the safety of our people, the environment and our assets are Shell’s top priority.
