Pricing at the pump is the result of a combination of many factors, including but not limited to: tax, crude price, transportation costs, and the competitive nature of the overall and individual market.

It’s important to be vigilant when receiving offers that seem too good to be true. Shell and Fuel Rewards will never ask winners to pay for shipping of any prizes or ask for money. Please be aware of suspicious emails, SMS, or Facebook offers from non-Shell or non-Fuel Rewards sources that may ask for payment or your personal information.
Valid Shell offers will be emailed from a Shell or Fuel Rewards domain (@shell.com, @fuelrewards.com, @email.fuelrewards.com). If you receive a suspicious email, SMS, or Facebook offer, please flag it as spam and/or report it as fraud. Do not click on any of the links and do not reply.

If you would like to stop receiving all SMS e-Receipts, you can easily unsubscribe by sending “STOP” to 26459. This will opt you out of the service, and you should no longer receive e-Receipts.
Shell offers customers the option to receive e-Receipts via SMS. This service is tied to the phone number entered at the pump, not to the payment method. Therefore, receiving an e-Receipt doesn’t mean your financial information is at risk. It likely means your phone number was entered by mistake.
When you enter your phone number on the dispenser screen at participating Shell stations, you give consent to receive digital receipts via text message for each transaction made with the same payment method. The frequency of these messages will vary as they are tied to your transactions.

We recommend identifying the status of the unknown charge with your card issuer or bank app. What do you see?
For Pending/Hold charge status:
Please be advised that the financial institution that issues the customer's card requires a credit check (“hold or pend”) be made prior to authorizing a purchase.
Once the purchase is complete, the hold/pend amount should be replaced on your bank/card account by the correct amount. Your bank/card issuer normally releases your funds within a certain number of days depending on their hold policy. Unfortunately, Shell is unable to assist with this matter. If you have not received the amount within the stipulated timeline, please contact your bank/card issuer and raise a dispute with them.
For Completed/Successful charge status:
If you see an incorrect charge on your account with a status of “Completed” or “Successful,” we advise you to contact your card issuer/bank to file a dispute. Unfortunately, Shell is unable to assist with these completed transactions, and only the card issuer/bank will be able to raise a dispute.
