Within the technical area of the Shell Graduate Program, you’ll embark on a 3-year training program that offers talented individuals a comprehensive introduction to various areas of Shell’s business and operations. The program is designed to help you make the most of your professional potential.

From day one, you’ll have a supervisor and mentor to help you establish and execute an Individual Development Plan outlining your career goals and how you’ll achieve them. Throughout this time, you’ll be placed in a wide range of hands-on roles with competence-based tasks, challenging and inspiring you to discover your strengths, develop your skills and broaden your experience in various real-world situations. 

Joining the Program you’ll work alongside the industry’s leading technical experts and visionaries, and may gain experience on some of Shell’s most groundbreaking engineering projects. Roles and responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer in Shell your responsibilities will grow in line with the competencies you acquire through the learning and development program.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues
  • Designing hardware and software
  • Monitoring power distribution
  • Accountability for design of complex electrical systems
  • Electrical maintenance/operations for an oil and gas facilities
