Women Molding the Future of the Plastics Industry
Meet some of the women making an impact at Shell Polymers and discover how they’re inspiring change in the workplace and the polymers industry.
Celebrate Women in the Plastics Industry
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, women made up 46.8% of the employed population in 2020. However, women represented only 29.5% of the thriving manufacturing workforce.1 At Shell Polymers, we’re inspiring change in the workplace by creating opportunities for professional growth that are open to all our employees.
As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we’re celebrating the accomplishments and efforts of our talented female employees. We’re also proactive to fill our teams with diverse talent from both within the polyethylene industry and outside. This dedication comes across in our diverse leadership team that includes several successful women such as Laura Chamorro, our General Manager of PE, and Hillary Mercer, our Vice President of Pennsylvania Chemicals.
