[Stefana Ciumpiliac]
I think the main challenge companies like Shell face today, it’s attracting the right talent, the people that have the right skill set and the drive to work towards finding the right solution for delivering cleaner energy.
Slow motion wide angle footage of Stefana, Tim and Constant, walking abreast of one another along an open walkway with transparent side panels, approaching the shot. Mid view of Stefana as she speaks to the off-screen interviewer, seen against the slightly out-of-focus background of the modern, multilevel corporate facility. Slow-motion mid-view footage of Stefana, Tim and Constant approaching the shot, still walking abreast of one another, engaged in discussion. Interview with Tim Baart
[Title]
Researcher Gas Conversion
[Tim Baart]
After finishing my degree in Physics, I was looking for a job that has a strong research component…
[Video footage]
Slow motion footage of Tim Baart, seen in profile, speaking into a cell phone, against the background of a laboratory environment, cutting to a profile close-up of Tim, speaking into the cell phone.

Interview with Harry Brekelmans continued
[Harry Brekelmans]
I think it’s hugely important for us, you know, as a society to be able to continue to grow and nurture these engineers of the future who will make a big difference in solving the big challenges we have in front of us.

Interview with Constant Guedon
[Title]
Researcher – Advanced Catalyst Analysis, Micro-Structural Analysis & Elemental
[Constant Guedon]
The most important skills I think you get from exact sciences is problem solving, is analytical capability to tackle problems, I think.
High angle close-up of notes being pencilled into a notebook. Wide view of Constant seated at a table, head bent as he writes in the notebook, his laptop open in front of him on the table, cutting to a close-up as he turns his attention to his laptop.

[Constant Guedon]
And that’s something you can use for every problem in the world, I would say.
Mid view of Constant as he speaks to the off-screen interviewer, seen against the slightly out-of-focus background of the modern, multilevel corporate facility.
Interview with Tim Baart continued
[Tim Baart]
What I really enjoy in my day-to-day job is, on the one hand, the connection with the physical sciences, but on the other hand, the fact that I have to collaborate with a lot of people around the globe to actually have a direct impact on society.
Mid view of Tim as he speaks to the off-screen interviewer, seen against the slightly out-of-focus background of the modern, multilevel corporate facility.

[Constant Guedon]
And I think combining those to create something that will contribute to society, I think, is very… is very exciting.
Close-up slow-motion footage of Stefana speaking to Constant, the back of Constant’s head visible in the foreground at frame right, cutting to wider high angle footage of Tim, Stefana and Constant seated in modern reception-style chairs, engaged in discussion. Interview with Stefana Ciumpiliac continued
[Stefana Ciumpiliac]
That’s actually what makes me very excited about this job. I enjoy the dynamic. Every day, it’s different. And you also have the power to tailor your job in the area where your interest sits.

Interview with Harry Brekelmans continued
[Harry Brekelmans]
When I was 18, I went to Delft University and I became a petroleum engineer, and I spent many years in Shell and, you know, getting involved with building things. And here I am, 28 years later, and I’m responsible for building all this stuff in Shell. So, you know, there couldn’t be a better way, I think, to give meaning to the way I was educated.
