We aim to be a good neighbor wherever we work, by contributing to the well-being of communities. We operate in close collaboration with governments as well as with national and international companies that champion these communities’ well-being.

We support the multi-governmental agreement made in 2015 (known as the Paris Agreement) to limit global warming to well below two degrees Celsius. We have an ambition to halve the Net Carbon Footprint of the energy products we sell by 2050. This will mean reducing emissions from our operations, but most of the reductions will come from changing the portfolio of products we sell. Learn more about Shell's progress toward reducing emissions here.
