Shell App FAQ

a. We have added additional forms of payment in the Shell App. In addition to adding most credit and debit cards directly to the app you can now buy, add, and use Shell eGift-Cards as a form of payment in the Shell App.

b. The Shell App now also supports EV drivers! Drivers using the Shell App can select the EV option to access the Shell Recharge network. The app allows EV drivers to locate the nearest charger, check the station’s charging status, and easily make in-app payments!

a. Download the 'Shell US' app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Upon opening the app, select 'Sign up' and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you reach the homepage, you can choose 'Sign up' or 'Sign in' with Fuel Rewards^®. If you are already a member of the Fuel Rewards^® program, select the 'Sign in' option and link your existing Fuel Rewards^® account to create a Shell App account.

a. Shell mobile payment is accepted at participating Shell locations across the United States. Participating locations are identified on the Shell station locator available within the Shell App and on the Shell US website.

a. Yes, you earn 25¢/gal in Fuel Rewards^® program savings* when you download the Shell App and make your first Shell mobile pay fill up (min 10-gal). You also earn an extra 10¢/gal in Fuel Rewards® program savings* when you make four mobile pay fill ups within 30 days (min 10-gal each).

*Requires active Fuel Rewards^® account, savings may be redeemed at participating Shell stations only. Limit 20 gal. Fuel Rewards^® savings earned expire on the last day of the month one month after they post to your Fuel Rewards® account. Visit here for terms and conditions.

a. You can choose your preferred payment method including the option to link most credit/debit cards or your US-based checking account with S Pay. Simply follow the steps outlined in the app to link to your preferred payment method and you are on your way to Pay & Save at Shell! You can also use an e-Gift Card as a form of payment which is stored in your payment methods menu tab along with other forms of payment. eGift-Cards can be shared with family and friends through the app and can be used at the pump and inside the convenient store.

a. Click on “Pay in the shop” on the payment screen, confirm payment, and the app will generate a QR code. Please hold QR code up to the 2D scanner at the register inside the convenience store. You do not have to select anything on the Shell pin pad to process the transaction, however if prompted, please select “No Loyalty” or “Pay Now” on the pin pad to ensure your transaction is successful.

a. Click on “Pay at the pump” on the payment screen, enter your pump number, and confirm payment. A three-digit authorization code will appear in the app for you to enter in the dispenser. Please leave your phone in your vehicle, and DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE ON THE FORECOURT to ensure your safety.
