Tropical Storm Barry: Shell Deepwater Gulf Of Mexico Operations Update #4
Jul 13, 2019
Shell continues to monitor and respond to Tropical Storm Barry in the Gulf of Mexico and we are taking actions to keep our people and assets safe.
As a result of the storm, we have shut in the Salsa and Enchilada assets in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and curtailed production in the Mars Corridor in the West, however, approximately 75% of the average daily production of oil and gas flowing across our Shell operated assets is continuing.
Minimal personnel movement has occurred since non-essential workers were evacuated from 7 of our potentially affected assets. All rig operations have been secured. We will assess weather reports, taking further action if necessary. As always, our top priority is the safety of our people, the environment and our assets.
