“I believe that Shell is one of the frontrunners in the exploration of oil and gas. My role is to speak with geologists and the geophysicists that actually look at the earth and tell us whether this could be an area of interest, and then on top of that my role would be to discuss with governments the added value that Shell can bring to a country.”

“We will remain dependent on exploring oil and gas resources. Shell has designed an FLNG unit and one of the advantages of FLNG, it’s environmentally friendly. That means that we do not touch the onshore line, we don’t need to build any facilities in precious areas.”

“With all the modern technologies it’s very easy to reach people anywhere in the world. So when we’re working on projects in West Africa it’s easy to conference them in with the technical guys that work in Houston.”
