Shell`s Norco Manufacturing Complex features both refining and chemicals facilities and is recognized as one of the largest and foremost petrochemical facilities in the United States. The Shell Norco Manufacturing Complex is home to Shell Oil Products US (Refining) and Shell Chemicals.
The Norco Manufacturing Complex is actively involved in the community and the region, supporting education, environmental, safety and health programs.

The Shell Norco Manufacturing Complex conducts bi-weekly passive sampling along the facility property boundary for the target analyte of benzene. The passive samples are collected and analyzed in accordance with Methods 325A and 325B of Appendix A to 40 CFR Part 63.
Norco pledges to maintain a safe working environment with compliance to local, regional and national regulations. Systems are in place to sustain, safe, healthy, and environmentally sound working conditions.

The Norco Newsline is a community newsletter reaching more than 13,000 residences in Norco and surrounding areas on the East Bank of St. Charles Parish. Published 6 times a year, the newsletter is designed to inform the community about NMC activities as well as occasional general-area information, such as hurricane preparation tips. Effectiveness of the publication has been measured at CAP meetings and informal discussions with community residents.
