Guy Hackwell appointed Shell Deer Park General Manager

Effective February 1, 2021, Guy Hackwell will become GM of the Deer Park Manufacturing Complex.
Shirley Yap, VP Deer Park & West Coast, will step back from her GM responsibilities for Deer Park with effect from 1st February 2021 to transition to her role as Senior Vice President Chemicals and Products, Singapore.
Guy Hackwell, currently Production Manager Deer Park, will become GM for Deer Park with effect from 1st February. During his 30 year career he has demonstrated strong technical & commercial acumen as well as strong people & HSSE leadership, risk management balance & decision making skills. He has a strong care for people, transparent leadership, and a strong drive for excellent performance.
In his new role as GM, Guy plans join the East Harris County Manufacturing Association’s board of directors and remain a member of the Deer Park Community Advisory Council.
Tim Dick, will become the Production Manager for Deer Park effective February 1, 2021, behind Guy Hackwell. Tim most recently served as the site’s Maintenance Turnaround and Construction Manager for Deer Park since earlier in 2020, and he temporarily covered the Production Manager role for Deer Park earlier this year and represented Shell at the Deer Park Community Advisory Council.
As Production Manager, Tim maintain continue in his role of board member for Armond Bayou Nature Center.
