Shell acquires interest in Gulf of America prospect

Houston − Shell Offshore Inc., a subsidiary of Shell plc (Shell), today announced the acquisition of a 30% interest in Conifer, an exploration prospect operated by BP Exploration and Production (BP) in the US Gulf of America near bp’s Kaskida host development.

Shell to more than double US company-owned convenience retail sites with acquisition of Tri Star Energy

Houston − Equilon Enterprises LLC, doing business as Shell Oil Products US (Shell), has signed an agreement to increase its equity from 33% to 100% in Tri Star Energy, LLC, a convenience store operator and fuel distributor operating across the southeastern United States and anchored in the Nashville market.

Shell to sell interest in Gulf of America platform

Houston − Shell Offshore Inc., a subsidiary of Shell plc, has agreed to sell its 50% non-operated working interest in the Na Kika platform and associated fields in the Gulf of America as well as its 100% owned Coulomb tieback. The assets will be acquired by subsidiaries of Talos Energy and Ridgewood Energy for a total consideration of $1.7 billion, subject to customary adjustments and certain contingent payments.

Shell to sell Jiffy Lube International and Premium Velocity Auto to Monomoy Capital Partners

Houston − Pennzoil Quaker State Company DBA SOPUS Products, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell USA, Inc., that comprises Shell’s United States (“U.S.”) lubricants business, has entered an agreement to sell Jiffy Lube International (JLI) and its subsidiary Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) LLC business to an affiliate of Monomoy Capital Partners (Monomoy) for $1.3 billion. As part of this transaction, Pennzoil Quaker State Company has entered into a long-term lubricants supply agreement with Monomoy.
