Technical Polymer Expertise at Your Fingertips

Many of our Polymer Pros and Pioneers have spent decades working in technical roles throughout the industry. Backed by years of hands-on industry experience, our polymer experts are just one way we Break the Mold.

Collaborate with Our Technical Service Team in the Applications Hall

The applications hall is a comprehensive building that will contain industrial-sized, conversion machines for pipe, blow molding, injection molding, and blown film applications by reliable manufacturers. Converters will work hand-in-hand with our technical services team on our state-of-the-art equipment to brainstorm custom solutions.

Industry-leading pioneers such as Francisco Alvarez, Carl Baker, Dan Falla, Elliot Carnevale, and Michael Misco will work in the applications hall to partner with our customers to troubleshoot technical challenges.

Blow Molding

The application hall will have two industrial-sized, blow-molding machines:

  • A Kautex electric machine equipped with a mono-layer and size-layer flow head that can be used to manufacture containers of different sizes
  • A Uniloy mono-layer hydraulic machine that can be used for dairy applications

Backed by Seasoned Scientists and State-of-the-Art Labs

Shell Polymers also features several labs staffed with polymer scientists that work closely with our technical service teams to help solve customer challenges. This includes a lab dedicated to quality control that ensures the product meets the required specifications, as well as a separate polymer science lab for conducting full characterization of Shell Polymers resins, properly measuring the performance of parts fabricated from it.
