
Meet the 2024 Cohort
Shell LiveWire’s 2024 Louisiana cohort features a diverse class of 25 entrepreneurs, whose businesses span a range of industries: architecture, beauty, construction, fashion, food and beverage, health, insurance, landscaping, hospitality, security, and more. The program works as a business accelerator and aims to strengthen the local economy by giving Louisiana entrepreneurs free access to knowledge, skills, networks, and resources that can help their businesses and, in turn, their communities thrive.

Chapeaux LLC
Karla Coreil and Jenn Loftin have experience handcrafting hats and fascinators for more than a decade. They launched Chapeaux LLC in 2022, extending their millinery expertise to the public through custom headpieces and couture crafting experiences.
Their innovative designs have captured the attention of local media outlets, and their clientele spans from Louisiana to Seattle and New York City. Chapeaux's bespoke creations have graced international cities like London, Budapest, and Paris, as well as national events such as the Baton Rouge Symphony League’s Mad Hatters, Mardi Gras celebrations, and prestigious galas. Their hats have also made appearances at renowned events like Del Mar Opening Day and the Kentucky Derby.
In addition to their global presence, Chapeaux actively collaborates with local community organizations such as the Baton Rouge Gallery and the LSU Textile & Costume Museum, solidifying their status as premier milliners deeply rooted in their community.

Geaux Ride
Charles Daniel, a former Corporate Data Analyst, transformed his personal quest for mental well-being into a thriving small business: Geaux Ride. Inspired by the joy of cycling in New Orleans, he launched his business with 10 bikes. In just seven years, Geaux Ride has become a cornerstone of the Louisiana community, promoting mental health, exercise, and unique experiences.
As a proud Black-owned business, Geaux Ride encourages exploration on two wheels, offering safe transportation and promoting sustainability. Services include guided tours and rentals for all ages and skill levels. Committed to giving back, Geaux Ride partners with local organizations, donating a portion of profits to charity.
Charles aims to foster nationwide health and wellness, particularly in underserved communities, through cycling initiatives.

It’s Playtime NOLA
Paul Laugand is the owner and manager of It's Playtime NOLA, a prominent games rental service in the NOLA Metro area. Collaborating with companies and diverse organizations, he fosters positive social interactions through play, team building, and enhancing workplace culture.
With nearly two decades of experience as an educator and youth mentor in the Orleans Parish School System, Paul brings a wealth of expertise to his current role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Southern University at New Orleans.
Outside of work, Paul is an avid reader, podcast enthusiast, and devoted supporter of his local sports teams. He treasures spending quality time with his wife and five children in his free time.

The TAK Group
Terence King founded the TAK Group in 2019, specializing in strategic live event management and festivals. With over 15 years of event production experience, Terence's journey began with a car show in 2008, followed by roles in event rental, production, and tour management.
Throughout his career, Terence has organized more than 90 events with renowned artists and overseen operations for prestigious events like the National Fried Chicken Festival and Top Taco Festivals.
Currently, as Owner and Director of Event Operations at the TAK Group, Terence contributes to the Shell LiveWire Louisiana 2024 Cohort and the 2024 American Heart Association Heart Walk Leadership Team.
