Extreme-Service Slide Lubricant
Shell Gadus (WhitSlide Extreme) is a viscous lubricant which forms a tenacious coating on sliding surfaces. This coating serves as a barrier to help prevent metal-to-metal contact. Shell Gadus (WhitSlide Extreme) slide lubricant has been specifically formulated to provide superior lubrication on slide mechanisms. The high film strength and friction-reducing ability of Shell Gadus (WhitSlide Extreme) allows draglines to walk smoothly with minimal heat generation.
Extreme temperatures are not a problem for Shell Gadus (WhitSlide Extreme) due to its wide operating range. Although pumping systems vary due to their configuration and condition, Shell Gadus (WhitSlide Extreme Light) can be applied at -45°F (-43°C).
Shell Gadus (WhitSlide Extreme) uses an ozone-safe, non-chlorinated solvent and does not contain any heavy metal additives. The product can be disposed of in the same manner as any spent grease or asphaltic lubricant.
