Shell Gadus (WhitSlide XE Extreme) is a viscous lubricant which forms a tenacious coating on sliding surfaces. This coating serves as a barrier to help prevent metal-to-metal contact. Shell Gadus (WhitSlide XE Extreme), represents a strategic advancement in product performance and sustainability. The high film strength and friction-reducing ability of Shell Gadus (WhitSlide XE Extreme) allows draglines to walk smoothly with minimal heat generation. We have optimized the chemistry to be environmentally friendly through the removal of chlorinated paraffins, while simultaneously enhancing cold-temperature pumpability and improving long-term shelf stability.

Extreme temperatures are not a problem for Shell Gadus (WhitSlide XE Extreme) due to its wide operating range. Although pumping systems vary due to their configuration and condition, Shell Gadus (WhitSlide XE Extreme Light) can be applied at temperatures below 10°F (-12°C).

Shell Gadus (WhitSlide XE Extreme) uses an ozone-safe, non-chlorinated solvent and does not contain any heavy metal additives. The product can be disposed of in the same manner as any spent grease or asphaltic lubricant.
