Skidmarks Show is a celebrity hosted Podcast that is based on cool cars and rock stars all with a vein of comedy. AMC Javelin

American Motors Corporation built the sporty Javelin between 1967 and 1974, in two generations. When AMC entered Tran-Am Series racing, this 1969 racecar was originally driven by Jerry Grant, until Roger Penske and his team used the car for developmental purposes. The Javelin is now owned and raced on the Vintage Racing Circuit by Barrett-Jackson’s Chairman and CEO, Craig Jackson.

This year Jeff Allen, from CNBC’s longest running Reality Show “The Car Chasers” and the new “Skidmarks Show” on iTunes, completed the West Coast leg of the GoldRush Rally with his 2014 GTR #Pennzilla, that not only did they clock over 1300 miles but then hit the track in Albuquerque with impressive high altitude 1/4 mile runs at 12.46et.

They then turned around and ran 151mph on a half mile airstrip at the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack. #Pennzilla is a great expression of what Motorsports is all about. The ability to compete in many events, ranging from high speed to high mileage to high altitude, and one thing is for sure…. you need to keep your engine happy. That is why #Pennzilla has Pennzoil Synthetics running through her veins.

Flat 12 Gallery Tri-Fecta

This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air was built on Season 3 of CNBC’s reality television show “The Car Chasers” by Flat 12 Gallery, where she received a full make-over from her tired drag strip days to that of a super model. So called Tri-fecta for her various 55, 56, and 57 influences.

She houses top build features from a new GM Performance ZZ502 Crate engine from Scoggin Dickey with 502hp and 567lb/ft torque with Pennzoil pumping through it, Monster 700R4 Transmission, staggered 3 piece Forgeline Wheels with Baer 6 piston caliper disc brakes, Resto-Mod air conditioning, Hotchkis suspension components, Classic Instruments BelEra2 Gauge Set, and numerous Classic Industries remanufactured parts. TriFecta is finished off in Magnetic Red 3 stage paint with a custom interior themed after the famous 1957 150 Black Widow.

For almost 50 years, the dune rides took tourists and locals across Michigan’s beautiful Sleeping Bear dunes. Dunesmobile No 9 is a 1948 Ford Deluxe Convertible, fitted with custom rims and oversized balloon tires to drive over the sand.

After the dune rides closed down in 1978, No. 9 went from owner to owner, ending up at a museum in Arizona, where it was restored and later purchased by McKeel Hagerty and brought it back home to Michigan. Having been featured on a famous postcard and the most documented of all the Dunemobiles, No. 9 is an important part of Michigan and National Park history.

This Goldenrod Yellow 1955 Thunderbird, owned by Las Vegas resident Mary Wolfe, was one of the three vehicles photographed for the Hagerty Classic Cars magazine Fall 2015 issue feature story “Swingin’ Wheels: The Cars of the Rat Pack."

Hennessey HPE750 supercharged mustang, shell yellow, similar to the car that ran 207.9 mph for the opening of the new jay leno’s garage tv show which airs on October 7.  0-60 mph: 3.2 sec., ¼ mile: 10.9 @ 131 mph, top speed: 207.9 mph.

This will be the SEMA debut of the 2016 Hennessey VelociRaptor 650 Supercharged pick-up truck. Base on the Ford F-150, the VelociRaptor continues the Hennessey brand of extreme performance trucks. The new Hennessey VelociRaptor builds on the company’s extensive experience with modifying Ford Raptors over the past five years. BBC’s TopGear featured a Hennessey VelociRaptor Supercharged truck driven by Jeremy Clarkson.

In 2007, Road & Track Magazine invited Hennessey Performance to participate in a shootout between some of the world’s fastest supercars. The contest? Find out which car could accelerate from 0 to 200 mph in the shortest amount of time. Some of the heavyweights competing where the Mercedes McLaren SLR, Lamborghini Murciellago, Ruf Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and the 1001 bhp all-wheel drive Bugatti Veyron 16.4.For our entry, the Hennessey team brought the company’s latest Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper.

Several runs were made by each car on the 2.9 mile long runway at Lemoore Naval Air Station in central California. At the end of the day, the Hennessey Venom 1000 Viper was crowned king of the ROAD & TRACK “Speed Kings” shootout by posting the quickest time of the day by running 0 to 200 mph in an astonishing 20.3 seconds.

CSX2287 was the first of six Daytona Coupes produced. The Daytona Coupe was designed by Peter Brock and enabled the Shelby American Cobra race team to compete successfully and win the International Manufacturer’s GT Championship in 1965. This was the first time an American manufacturer won an international race series.

Between July 17 and August 19, 2015, the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) took this 1915 Model T on a Road Trip Century Celebration in a 34-day, 3,500+ mile road trip. By following Edsel Ford’s epic 1915 journey from Detroit to San Francisco in a similar 1915 Model T, the event incorporated the centennial celebration of the Ford Estate at Fair Lane and the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the historic departure and destination points for Edsel Ford’s trip 100 years ago in 1915.

This Hellcat has had a brief but important history with Pennzoil. This car was brought to South Africa and to be driven by the legendary Rhys Millen (www.rmrproducts.com) in the popular Pennzoil Airlift Drift commercial, which was broadcast on TV and has been viewed millions of times online.

This Hellcat was then brought to Reno, Nevada, to again be driven by Rhys Millen through the closed city streets for yet another precision driving exhibition. After Reno, the Hellcat participated in the Woodward Dream Cruise is in Detroit and later at the Lone Star MOPAR Fest in Texas.  After SEMA, this Hellcat will be the prize in a special Sweepstakes.

Koester Racing started competing nationally in 1987 following a tragic farm tractor incident that cost Larry Koester both his legs below the knee. After rehabbing for months Larry and his family returned to competitive tractor pulling by creating a specially modified braking system on his mini-modified pulling tractor. Larry and his mini-modified tractor “Footloose” have carried the Rotella colors since 2010 and carried the Pennzoil livery for 12 years prior. Larry is one of the most decorated and well known pullers throughout the world.

UTI has teamed up with Ford, Pennzoil and builder Neil Tjin for 2016 to produce one of the most aggressive builds to date along with some of the best after market companies to perform both on and off road. Thanks to partners Vortech, Magnaflow, FOX Suspension, ADV:1 Wheels, Toyo Tires, Baer Brakes, and Axalta Paint this will be a one-off custom build that one lucky winner will get to walk away with in 2016.

Meet the Shell automotive icons pioneering the future of engine performance

In a landmark return to the SEMA Show, Shell will present “Pioneering Performance,” a gathering of key players and top vehicles that have helped drive the development of engine performance into the future. The Shell SEMA Show space will span more than 10,000 square feet and be presented by Pennzoil and Quaker State motor oils, Shell ROTELLA heavy duty engine oils and Shell V-Power Nitro+ premium gasoline.

The Shell SEMA Show space (#60005, in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center) will offer attendees a place to relax, recharge and revel in automotive lore, as Shell hosts legendary and modern automotive personalities on its sound stage and puts show-stopping vehicles on display. Co-hosting this four-day blitz of automotive brilliance will be 30-year broadcast veteran Alan Taylor and Car Chasers-star and Flat 12 Gallery co-owner Jeff Allen. Allen will also produce an episode of his  Skidmarks Show podcast live from the Shell SEMA Show space.

Among the performance, customization and restoration talent on hand will be John Hennessey, owner of Hennessey Performance and creator of the Hennessey Venom GT. The Venom GT is the fastest production car in the world, and like all Hennessey high-performance vehicles, it uses Pennzoil Platinum® with PurePlus™ Technology under the hood. 

Also appearing will be Meg Bailey, Jeff Allen’s co-star on the hit CNBC reality show Car Chasers and co-owner of celebrity collector favorite Flat 12 Gallery, for which Pennzoil motor oil is the official lubricant. For the true gearheads in the crowd, lubricants technology experts for the Pennzoil, Quaker State and Shell ROTELLA brands will be on hand to answer questions about engine protection, vehicle performance and their pioneering automotive efforts such as PurePlus Technology, PC-11 and more.
