One of the most influential magazines for women in business, Women's Enterprise USA, recently named Shell's Debra Stewart to their annual list of Top 100 Leaders in Supplier Diversity.

According to WE USA, "The list is a register of visionary role models who are paving the way for dynamic growth in supply chain diversity and inclusion." Stewart, Manager, Supplier Diversity & Diversity Outreach, has led Shell into a new paradigm for the practice of supplier diversity in corporate America. In 2015 Stewart successfully made the business case to Shell for a commitment to increase supplier diversity spend dramatically over the next two years in order to earn a place at the Billion Dollar Roundtable (BDR).

She also led her team to a completely new way of managing supplier diversity, including the launch of a new, information-rich website, in order to achieve that goal. To determine the top leaders, WE USA's team of advisors and editors evaluated diversity professionals nationwide using key indicators, including impactful promotion of supplier diversity to improve business performance, identification of strategic opportunities, creation of a positive environment for procurement employees and encouragement of innovative ideas among employees and suppliers.
