Rising Tide
Shell is the title sponsor of the Rising Tide youth outreach and education program, launched by the Coastal Conservation Association in 2007.
Shell Oil Company partnered with the Coastal Conservation Association to be the title sponsor of the award winning Rising Tide youth outreach and education program, which promotes conservation ethics and education among young anglers. With Shell’s three-year pledge, CCA will be able to devote more resources to its growing youth program, now with more than 15,000 young angling enthusiasts.
Through a dynamic youth program that includes an award-winning newsletter, and new interactive web site, Shell and CCA are endeavoring to capture the enthusiasm of young anglers and provide opportunities for them to understand, and appreciate, the coastal environment. The Rising Tide program engages young anglers to get involved with community habitat projects, participate in local and statewide tournaments, and promote marine science and conservation at their school. CCA and Shell are committed to engaging the imaginations of young people and inspiring them to become the conservation leaders of tomorrow.
