Fortnite and game creation has changed my life. It’s given me the freedom to do what I want to do and it’s given me a passion like no other.

My secret to creating an unforgettable Fortnite game experience would be kind of finding your own individuality within the creating space. I feel like if you really put your own spin on something that’s really important…. Shell Ultimate Road Trips is unique. I’ve never worked with this many creators on one project, so that’s very exciting. All of us coming together to create a game makes it very unique that everything is going to be very different from biome to biome.

What I built for the Shell Ultimate Road Trips is a jungle magical biome with a big, beautiful castle very green, very lush, very, very fun. Some of the inspirations of the terrain of this map, kind of adventure movies, like I wanted you to feel very lost in, and very like secluded in a jungle. What I think will be fun about the Shell Ultimate Road Trips is ability to go through the different biomes, I think it will be really fun for players to experience something new around each corner.

It was always a dream of mine as a young kid to develop my own games, have my own gaming studio.

The thing that makes Shell Ultimate Road Trips super unique more than any other game that I've worked on is that we have this collaboration in mind - like it comes from a collaborative effort first where we've got these 6 different creators creating a fun road trip experience with various obstacles. And it's super dope that they get to use their V-Power Nitro+ speed boosts that will help them along the way and let them tackle all these various quests and biomes.

What I built for the Shell Ultimate Road Trips is essentially a ski resort. They'll see just immediately the gigantic ramp that they have to try to get up. There will be loads of different quests, different obstacles that they can face.

My inspirations for the terrain of my map is many years ago - only once in fact - I went to the Bavarian Alps to do some skiing. What I so remember is that scenery was just beautiful: the sun was beaming and there was just a sense of peace while up there. And just one giant cabin where it just felt like a nice place to get toasty and warm. And that's what I sort of tried to capture and get really inspired by from the experiences when you go into the snow biome Shell Ultimate Road Trips.

I really enjoyed making games and I didn’t know I could do it professionally but it felt like the stars aligned and I was able to do both.

I keep creating new games in Fortnite because there’s an endless supply of ideas. I think people in the community definitely want to try new things. Yes it’s true that I was able to pay off my medical school loans with Fortnite. I think the main similarity between working in the medical profession and creating games is you have to really understand, you kind of have to anticipate what someone else wants or how they're feeling and I don’t plan on stopping creation anytime soon....if I have to spend less time on it that’s OK but I still want to be a part of my life.

So what I built for the Shell Ultimate Road Trips project was the winding beach and I based this a lot on my own personal experience on vacation, going on long drives when I was a kid where you'd be able to, like, go down this windy path and one side you'd, like, have this nice little hilly mountains and on the other side of you, you would have, like, the beach view itself and I kind of wanted to bring that experience into the Fortnite universe.

I was really excited to be invited to work on the Shell Ultimate Road Trips with great creators and so many different environments. It’s something that I’ve never done before where we get to collaborate with some of the most talented people in the Fortnite space over the last few years, and I think a unique experience and viewpoint that I think players will really enjoy it.

What keeps me creating games in Fortnite has to be the engagement that comes out of releasing a new map. I first got into creating games in Fortnite pretty much about the same day creative had released. I was an active player when the news for creative a dropped and I’ve been game developing since. 

Fortnite and game creation had changed my life for the better by now only give me the opportunity to create the experiences that I want to make but also to be able to financially support myself at the same time.

My initial reaction to getting invited to be part of the Shell Ultimate Road Trips project was very exciting. I loved the concept of having these multiple biomes set up all in one world by different talented creators. This whole map is oriented around road tripping in a car. It’s meant to feel like a very laid-back experience, the gameplay mechanics are very easy to understand and you just have the chance to explore these beautiful biomes that have been created. And it's all powered by V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline.

The biome I've created for players in the Shell Ultimate Road Trips game is definitely not something that you can experience in the real world and I think that's what makes it so cool. You get to be transported into this Cyber City that makes you feel like you’re in a different universe. What keeps me creating maps to this day has to be the engagement that comes out of releasing a map, I love the positive feedback, the growing player base, that comes with releasing a map, and that’s just always keep me motivated to continue pushing the boundaries of game design.
