Storm Center Disturbance 35-Update #2
September 23, 2024 12:00 CST
Shell Gulf of Mexico
(ISSUED AT 12:00PM CST) Shell is monitoring tropical Disturbance 35 for potential impacts to its assets and operations in the Gulf of Mexico. As a precautionary measure, Shell has shut in production at its Stones asset and has curtailed production at Appomattox. We continue to evacuate non-essential personnel from our assets in the Mars Corridor, and we are in the process of safely pausing some of our drilling operations. Currently, there are no other impacts on our production across the Gulf of Mexico.
As always, the safety of our people, the environment and our assets is Shell’s top priority.
