September 15, 2020 09:00 AM CST
Shell Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Operations
(ISSUED at 9:00 AM CST) Shell continues to monitor Hurricane Sally for potential impacts to our assets and operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
As a precautionary measure, some drilling operations have secured wells for rigs that may potentially experience severe weather. Due to potential weather impacts, some production has been curtailed at Mars, Olympus and Ursa, and production at Appomattox has been shut in. All personnel remain aboard our assets.
As always, the safety of our people, the environment and our assets are Shell’s top priority.
