Tropical Storm Barry:Shell Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Operations Update #8
Jul 17, 2019
Shell continues to ramp up to pre-storm production levels of oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico after the disruption caused by Tropical Storm Barry.
Our Ursa and Olympus assets have resumed production, while the Mars, Enchilada, Salsa and Stone assets are in varying stages of returning to normal operations and production levels.
Despite the effects and aftermath of the storm, approximately 80% of the average daily production of oil and gas flowing across our Shell-operated assets in the Gulf of Mexico continues.
Full production from the assets will resume when it is safe to do so.
As always, our top priority is the safety of our people, the environment and our assets.
