Shell and Motiva continue to strive to meet customer needs despite disruptions in supply and logistics caused by the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Repairs are now complete and safety checks have been conducted at the Motiva Newark terminal, and limited operations resumed as of 9:00 a.m. EST on Sunday Nov. 11. We expect that customers will be able to begin loading on all lanes shortly. Inspections and damage assessments are ongoing at the Motiva distribution terminals in Brooklyn and Long Island, NY as we work to safely complete repairs and restore operations.

As of 8:00 a.m. Central, 96% of Shell-branded sites in the most heavily impacted states are receiving product and are open for business. We continue to strategically deploy generators to wholesalers of independent Shell-branded locations where needed.

Our wholesalers are making fuel deliveries to Shell-branded stations as quickly as possible, though sporadic outages will likely persist in the short term, given the consumer demand. We expect to see significant improvement in fuel supply at Shell-branded stations in the Northeast throughout the coming week with product now moving out of Sewaren and Newark. As always, the safety of employees, wholesalers and consumers is our first priority.
