Shell will continue full evacuations from our eastern Gulf of Mexico operations today, and reduce personnel count in our central asset locations.

The total number of evacuated personnel is approximately 615 for this storm event, with 900 remaining offshore.‬‪

Given the evacuation of personnel and forecast track, we have shut in production from our eastern Gulf of Mexico‬‪ assets with exception of our Fairway Field in Mobile Bay.  Production from our central asset locations is also being ramped down, particularly our subsea fields which require long lead-time for effective shut-ins.

We will continue to monitor this system closely and respond to further developments.‬‪

The information on this site will be updated as necessary.‬‪‪

NOTES AND DISCLAIMERS: You can contact the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) for overall Gulf of Mexico shut-in status, as of the previous day.
