Peninsula Clean Energy, a community choice aggregation (CCA) agency committed to providing reliable, all-renewable emission-free power by 2025, recently announced a new long-term contract for renewable power from Shell Energy.
Through 2028, Peninsula Clean Energy has committed to purchase half of the capacity and renewable energy generated by Voyager II, an approximately 130 MW wind project located near Mojave, California. Voyager II is one of several existing wind projects in Shell Energy’s expanding clean energy supply portfolio.
Shell Energy is the longest standing supplier of energy and related services to California CCAs. Our managed, owned, and contracted renewable projects add 11,000 GWh of carbon-free energy to the grid each year, making us ideally positioned to provide long-term commitments, capacity, and vision for the energy transition.
