Quick Serve Restaurant Chain – Energy Management

Customer Need

CFO of a quick serve restaurant chain wanted to reduce energy spend and manage food safety by deploying controls and submetering, but he did not have the budget to pay for the equipment.

The customer paid for energy management upgrades over time instead of upfront. This meant that the CFO could effectively fund the project through tangible energy and operational savings, and he would now have visibility into the performance of critical equipment, including refrigerators.

Since deploying the energy management solution to over 2200 locations, the quick serve restaurant has seen tangible results. In addition to saving >$17 million per year on utility bills and maintenance, he has been able to preserve valuable, temperature-sensitive inventory, monitor trends in site energy consumption, and assess the value of efficiency retrofit projects.
