Celebrating Carson’s 50th

“My mother was part of the first graduating class of Carson High School, both my wife and I went there, now it’s my children’s high school. I’m proud to be part of this awesome community.”

“Most gratifying about what I do is seeing students’ successes. Seeing students identify themselves as leaders and just taking on leadership roles. The more educated our community is in the city of Carson, the better investments we have, the more businesses here and they just make the community a lot better.”

“I used to not think as big or dream as big. But the Boys and Girls Club staff really helped me with that. They inspired me, they motivated me. There was this one staff in particular, his name is JC he would tell me, ‘oh no, you’re going to Harvard.’ And I was like, ‘that’s insane.’ But, yeah, now I’m going to Berkley.“

"I feel like Carson is doing a lot for people of all ages. The community is a very clean, safe and people pretty much treat everyone like family. We all just communicate and work together to make the city a better place."
