Celebrating Carson’s 50th
We are proud to be part of the community as we celebrate the people and organizations that make Carson a vibrant, diverse city. Shell first came to the Carson area in 1924. As we grew alongside the community, we hosted many of the official founders’ meetings at our offices in Carson. We feel privileged to be one of the city’s founding members in 1968 and wish a happy golden anniversary to the City of Carson!

“Most gratifying about what I do is seeing students’ successes. Seeing students identify themselves as leaders and just taking on leadership roles. The more educated our community is in the city of Carson, the better investments we have, the more businesses here and they just make the community a lot better.”

There was this one staff in particular, his name is JC he would tell me, ‘oh no, you’re going to Harvard.’ And I was like, ‘that’s insane.’ But, yeah, now I’m going to Berkley.“
