Happy Anniversary, Shell Community Advisory Panel!
Jan 25, 2011
The Shell Martinez Community Advisory Panel celebrated its 20th anniversary last week.
For two decades, our senior management has met with a cross section of representatives in the community in order to understand the community’s needs and keep people informed as to what is going on at the refinery. It was something of a pace-setting move when the CAP was started, the first of its kind in the area, and the first in Shell. Last Monday, we celebrated with a dinner honoring all of those who have served on the CAP.
Our General Manager, Alicia Izarraraz (a Martinez resident) spoke, along with past GM Ron Banducci, Martinez Mayor Rob Schroder and CAP Members Tom Borman, Raul Lomelli and Cathy Ivers.
A photo album has now been uploaded to our Facebook page (Shell Refinery in Martinez):
Thanks to all who have served in this important way. You have done a great service to both Shell and the community.
