Dear Friends,

We want to give you a heads up that we will be making mandatory repairs on the railroad crossing on Marina Vista, west of Shell Ave., April 27-April 30.

To expedite the work, crews will be working around the clock from Friday April 27 at 6 p.m. to Monday, April 30. During that time, only one lane will be open on Marina Vista. Shell Avenue will be open as a detour.

We will have detour signs in place and we are mobilizing resources to address potential traffic impacts. While we aim to complete the work before the Monday morning commute, we encourage you to consider there may be crews working during that time. In addition, follow up work may be required after the main construction is completed, which could cause some delays.

There will be noise from heavy equipment and odors from the repaving work.

We have carefully planned this work to minimize the impact to our neighbors, but we realize this could be an inconvenience to you.

If any of this activity is disruptive to you, or if you have a question or comment, we hope you will call our environmental hotline at (925) 313-3777. You can also follow what’s going on, at our Facebook page “Shell Refinery in Martinez” or on Twitter at “Shell_Martinez”. We will post any new information over that weekend on our Facebook page.

As with all the work we do, our aim is to complete it in a way that does not impact our neighbors. Please let us know if we fall short of that goal.

Yours sincerely,

Ann Notarangelo
External Relations Manager
