Shell Geismar is the only major petrochemical manufacturing facility in Ascension Parish that has operated continuously under its original name and ownership, a fact that underscores the facility’s enduring business value and Shell’s continuing commitment to the community.
The Geismar Chemical Plant is one of the largest tax payers in Ascension Parish.
