Shell received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves (ESGR) Seven Seals award. The Seven Seals award is presented in recognition of significant organizational achievement for Shell’s support of employees that continue to serve in the Reserves or National Guard. Receiving this award is important for Shell employees who are proud of what Shell is doing as a company of choice in the military space but more importantly for future employees that are interested in an opportunity at Shell. It demonstrates our commitment to hiring top military talent.

Jana McElroy, Shell’s Manager OCR, XP, & Military, received the award for Shell and said "our organization's core values include care for individuals and a culture of inclusion, so to be recognized for creating a supportive environment for National Guardsmen and Reservist is truly an honor as it is a testament to what we strive to stand for with our employees and in the community".

Shell was also named a semi-finalist for the Secretary of Defense Employer Support- Freedom award. The Employer Support Freedom award is the highest recognition given by the US Government to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the Guard. This year Shell was nominated for the award by three employees who currently serve in the National Guard/Reserves. Each year, Guard and Reserve employees, or family members, have the opportunity to nominate their employer for the Employer Support Freedom award.
