Shell Deer Park ER Manager Announcement

Friends of Shell Deer Park,

As you may be aware, after 5 years at Shell Deer Park, Deer Park ER Manager Amanda Accardo has been selected as Transformation Lead within Shell Midstream and will move into her new role effective March 1. I am pleased to share that we have completed the sourcing process for Shell Deer Park’s next External Relations Manager. Jessica Blackmore, currently Deer Park ER Advisor, has been selected as the new ER Manager for Deer Park and will take seat effective March 1.

We are delighted with this outcome, as Jessica’s experience working with the community over the last couple years will ensure continuity in this role. Jessica has been the driving force behind our social media strategy including animations, the Shellegram and other digital assets at the Big Energy exhibit, increased speed in emergency response communications and the new Community Grants program. She brings with her nearly a decade of front-line, asset-based experience across various businesses and countries which will further enable her to bring best practices in Communications and Social Performance to the site and region.

Jessica will oversee the External Relations team at site, which includes an ER Advisor and our new Community Liaison Officer Stephanie Meadows. She will manage internal and external communications, community relations, social investment and memberships. With Jess moving into the manager role, the ER Advisor role will be posted shortly and will be subject to future announcement. Jessica and Amanda have begun their transition and will continue over the next two weeks.
