Refreshing the Community Feedback program

Shell Deer Park launches a refreshed community feedback program with Site Team Leads
Shell Deer Park is proud to be part of the Deer Park community and strives to operate without any impact to our residential and industrial neighbors.
We recognize that from time to time neighbors may have questions about our operations and potential impact to the community – whether it be light from a flare or a noise in the community. It may also be that there’s an unknown odor, or another impact, in the community that causes you to wonder if it came from Shell.
Our Site Team Leads have refreshed our community feedback program and are available 24/7 to better answer your questions. If you have questions about our operations, please call us at 713-246-7301. Our security team will take a statement and the Site Team Lead will investigate and get back to you – either by phone or with a follow up visit in the community to meet with you.
At Shell, we endeavor to give you advanced notice of events that could have an impact beyond our fence line such as Turnaround or planned maintenance activities. You can stay up-to-date on industrial activity in East Harris County by downloading the EHCMA CAER Online App or by following up on Facebook and Twitter.
WHAT IS CAER ONLINE?
Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER) Online is a system for community members to view posted messages and alerts from EHCMA member facilities regarding operational updates.
CAER Online was created as a way for our members to give back to the communities where they live and work.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM CAER ONLINE
CAER Online is a community resource that provides information to the community about industrial incidents and events. Messages offer basic information such as what the incident or event is, where it happened, and whether any action is required by community members.
In late November 2017, the CAER system was upgraded to a new, simpler and more robust platform paving the way for the use of smart technology such as iPhone and Android devices to keep informed on alerts and events that occur at EHCMA member facilities in East Harris County.
