How do customers earn Fuel Rewards?
For every $50 in qualified purchases using the Lucky Rewards Cards, a 5 cents per gallon discount on fuel is earned and redeemable on a single fill-up, up to 20 gallons of fuel per purchase.
Additionally, Fuel Rewards are cumulative – the more shoppers spend, the more they earn. For example, if a customer spends $100, they will earn a 10 cents per gallon discount, if they spend $150, they earn a 15 cents per gallon discount, etc. Shoppers also don’t have to spend $50 in one transaction. Purchases are automatically tracked and each time the $50 threshold is met, another 5 cents per gallon discount on fuel is earned.
How many gallons of gasoline per visit can customers use their Fuel Rewards on to redeem savings?
There is a maximum of 20 gallons of fuel per purchase, one vehicle per transaction.
What steps will customers have to take to participate in this program?
To participate in the Fuel Rewards program, customers in participating markets will ask for the new Lucky Rewards Card at any Lucky Supermarket. Fuel Rewards expire on the last day of the month immediately following the month they were earned. Shoppers can easily track their Fuel Rewards after they have registered their card on-line at www.luckysupermarkets.com.
Do customers have to spend $50 in one visit to earn the Fuel Rewards?
There’s no need to spend $50 all at once. Fuel Rewards are cumulative. Purchases are automatically tracked and each time the $50 threshold is met when they use their Lucky Rewards Card, another 5 cents per gallon discount on fuel is earned.
Is there a limit as to how many Fuel Rewards a customer can redeem?
No, customers can save 5 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents or more per gallon depending on the number of qualifying Fuel Rewards they have earned.
How do customers redeem their Fuel Rewards at participating Shell stations?
Customers may redeem their Fuel Rewards at participating Shell stations by swiping their Lucky Rewards Card at the pump or presenting their card to the cashier before filling up.
How do customers know how many Fuel Rewards they have earned?
Fuel Rewards earned during a single transaction will be reflected on the customer’s grocery receipt after every purchase using their Lucky Rewards Card at participating Lucky stores. To check accumulated fuel rewards earned customers must register on-line at www.luckysupermarkets.com.
How long are the Fuel Rewards good for?
Fuel Rewards earned for the current month expire at the end of the following month. For example, if you earn Fuel Rewards in March, you have until the end of April to redeem them.
How will customers know which Shell stations are participating in the program?
For participating Shell stations, please contact the Shell Customer Service at 1-888-GO-SHELL or visit www.shell.us/lucky.
In addition, participating Shell stations will have signage indicating they are participating in the fuel rewards program.
Why aren’t all Shell sites participating?
Shell-branded stations are owned and operated by third-party, independent wholesalers who are contractually allowed to display the Shell brand. The Fuel Rewards program is an opt-in program that is offered, but not required for the independent wholesalers to participate.
Are there other ways to earn Fuel Rewards beyond using my Lucky Rewards Card when I buy groceries?
Yes! Customers can earn additional Fuel Rewards at 700 merchant sites using Fuel Rewards Network (FRN) Online Shopping. Customers can earn 5 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents or more per gallon for $50 spent online. Offer may vary per retailer. Only available at www.fuelrewards.com.
How else can customers save on the cost of driving when filling up at Shell?
Consumers can also take advantage of the Shell $aver Card and Shell Drive for Five Card at the same time they are redeeming their points.
The Shell $aver Card acts like a debit card by linking to an existing checking account. Cardholders earn two cents per gallon on every gallon of Shell-branded fuel they purchase.
The Shell Drive for Five Card offers cardholders the opportunity to earn a savings of five cents per gallon when they purchase at least 45 gallons each month, up to 100 gallons.
Note that the Shell Drive for Five Card and the Shell $aver Card discounts are not rolled back at the pump at the time of purchase, but are taken off the cardholder’s statement at the end of the month. For more information, please visit www.shell.us/cards.
Can customers earn Fuel Rewards on purchases at Shell stations?
No. Fuel Rewards can only be earned through purchases at Lucky Supermarkets with their Lucky Rewards Card.
