Shell and Motiva continue to monitor the effects of Post-Tropical Storm Sandy and its impact on the Shell-branded network as it travels through the Northeast. At this time, we are in the process of contacting retailers and wholesalers to ensure their safety.

Shell-branded stations in high-impact areas are being assessed as soon as it is safe for inspection teams to access the areas. As always safety of employees, wholesalers and consumers is our first priority.

For stations that have been reopened or were otherwise unaffected by the storm, we are working as quickly as possible to safely supply wholesalers of Shell-branded stations. We appreciate consumers’ efforts to conserve fuel and avoid unnecessary driving while Shell-branded stations are being reopened and restocked. This helps expedite fuel supply restoration, helps avoid long lines and helps avoid temporary outages at stations that are currently being restocked.

Shell and Motiva have a history of being sensitive to price changes during significant events, such as hurricanes, and work actively to prevent price gouging. If you feel a station is charging a price that is out of line in the market, please contact your local or state government agency designed specifically to handle this information and provide them with that address.
