(This information is up-to-date as of 10:00 A.M. Central, September 2, 2011.  Further updates will be provided as needed)

Weather conditions are impairing staff movement, but we are using all available resources to safely evacuate employees. The number of evacuated personnel is currently 550. The number of personnel evacuated today will depend on weather conditions, and we will only transport personnel if safe to do so.

Shell has some production shut in, particularly from subsea wells that require long advance time for proper shut-down. Our Shell non-operated downstream infrastructure partners have proceeded in evacuating their facilities and their actions have resulted in some production shut-ins as well.  Producing fields shut-in at this time include Auger, Enchilada, Brutus, and the Europa subsea field.  We will continue to monitor for further impacts to our production that may occur.  Our priorities at this time continue to be ensuring the safety of personnel, protecting the environment and minimizing production and operational impact.

We will continue to monitor weather reports and respond accordingly.  The information on this site will be updated as necessary.
