Cutting-edge lubricants technologies will be at the heart of the upcoming Technology Day media event. At this event, journalists will visit the Westhollow Technology Center in Houston to learn more about the cutting-edge research being undertaken on behalf of Shell Lubricants and Shell Chemicals.

Two of Shell’s seven Chief Scientists will also be available to answer questions about how they lead and support the development of Shell technology. The innovative technologies presented with focus on ways Shell increases its own and its customers energy efficiency. 

Shell Lubricants will focus on three technology stories and showcase proven energy efficiencies this technology has yielded for customers, including:

  • How synthetic-based lubricants offer energy efficiency gains for industrial equipment such as hydraulic systems and worm gears
  • How the proprietary adaptive technology used to develop innovative heavy-duty engine oils not only offers improved fuel efficiency, but also protects the performance of exhaust-emission control systems
  • Ways value-led technology services benefit both industrial and transport customers by identifying issues and supplying solutions that enhance energy efficiency
