Shell and Kroger understand how important it is to stretch your dollars. That’s why we’ve joined forces to bring you fuel discounts at your local participating Shell station. Redeem up to 1,000 points in one fill-up and receive up to a $1 per gallon instant discount. Points in excess of 1,000 carry over to your next fill-up, redeemable through the following month. Maximum of 35 gallons of fuel per purchase.*

Here’s how.

Use Your Kroger Plus Card every time you shop at Kroger! Don’t have one? Just go to Kroger and fill out an application. You’ll get your Kroger Plus Card on the spot and you can start earning points immediately! Shop at Kroger and use your Kroger Plus Card to earn points every month — 3 easy ways.

Earn 100 Points: 

• …for every $100 in eligible grocery purchases
• …for every $50 in eligible gift card purchases
• …for every 2 eligible prescriptions filled

Now your points add up. For example:

• 100 points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
• 200 points = 20¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up
• 1,000 points = $1 off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up

Points earned in the current month are available for use through the end of the following month.

1. If paying inside, see cashier BEFORE inserting your Kroger Plus Card.
2. BEFORE you insert your payment card, follow the screen prompts to initiate the Kroger discount process.
3. Insert your Kroger Plus Card, or manually enter your alternate ID or your loyalty card number found on the back of your loyalty card or key fob.
4. Select your form of payment and fuel grade.
5. Save up to $1 per gallon up to a maximum of 35 gallons of fuel per purchase.*

How does the Shell and Kroger grocer rewards program work?

Beginning on February 15, customers save 10 cents/gallon at Kroger Fuel Centers and participating Shell stations for every 100 Fuel Points spent at Kroger stores when they using their loyalty card. Customers can also let their points add up to save up to $1.00/ gallon at Kroger Fuel Centers and participating Shell stations.

How many gallons of gasoline per visit can customers use their Fuel Points on to redeem savings?

There is a 35 gallon maximum per visit when redeeming the minimum of 10 cents per gallon rewards using your Fuel Points.

What steps will customers have to take to participate in this program?

To participate in the grocer rewards program, customers in the participating markets will need to use their active Kroger Plus Card, or apply for a rewards card, which is free and available at any Kroger store or online at www.kroger.com/mykroger - opens in new window.

Fuel points must be used within a designated time period and customers can easily track their Fuel Points on their shopping receipt at Kroger.

How do customers redeem their Fuel Points at Kroger Fuel Centers and participating Shell stations?

Customers may redeem their Fuel Points at Kroger Fuel Centers or participating Shell stations by swiping their participating loyalty card, manually entering their card number or by entering their alternate ID at the pump, which will initiate the fuel savings. The Fuel Points will be reflected on the pump as well as on the customer’s receipt.

How do customers know how many Fuel Points they have earned?

Fuel Points will be reflected on the customer’s grocery receipt after every purchase using their loyalty card at participating Kroger locations. They also will have the option of registering online and monitoring their Fuel Points on their “My Kroger” page (www.kroger.com/mykroger - opens in new window).

How long do customers have to reach 100 Fuel Points and start redeeming the fuel savings? How long are the Fuel Points good for?

Grocery purchases can accumulate throughout the month and at the end of each month, the purchase accumulation level is reset for the following month. Kroger issues Fuel Points on a monthly basis. All Fuel Points earned for the current month expire at the end of the following month. For example, if you earn 300 Fuel Points in March, you have until the end of April to use those March points. 

How will customers know which Kroger stores and Shell stations are participating in the program?

All Kroger stores in the launch markets are participating. For participating Shell stations, customers can visit shell.us/kroger or contact the Shell Customer Service at 1-888-GO-SHELL. In addition, participating Shell stations will have signage indicating they are participating in the grocer rewards program.

Can a customer with a loyalty card from one of Kroger Co.’s other family of brands stores use it to participate in this program?

Yes.

Are there other ways to earn Fuel Points beyond using my loyalty card when I buy groceries?

Yes! To help customers build up their savings quickly, Fuel Points can also be earned by purchasing prescriptions or gift cards from Kroger. With every two qualifying prescriptions, or with a purchase of $50 in gift cards from Kroger’s Gift Card Mall including Old Navy, McDonalds, Home Depot, Olive Garden, Best Buy, Sears and many more, customers will receive 100 Fuel Points. Some gift cards are excluded from this program and customers should be sure to have the cashier swipe their loyalty card to get the points.

Is there a limit as to how many Fuel Points a customer can earn?

In Columbus OH, Zanesville OH, Toledo OH, Lima OH, Cleveland OH, Akron OH, Richmond VA, Nashville TN and Knoxville TN, customers can redeem up to 1,000 Fuel Points at one time to earn up to $1.00 off a gallon of gas (Note: Offer valid up to 35 gallons per visit).

Is there a limit on how many Fuel Points a customer can redeem at once?

Yes, in most markets there is a limit of 100 Fuel Points that can be redeemed in a single fuel fill-up.

Can customers earn Fuel Points on purchases at Shell stations?

No. Fuel Points can only be earned through purchases at a Kroger, or other stores within the Kroger family of stores.

What happens if a customer believes they have Fuel Points available, but they are not visible at the pump?

For questions related to Fuel Points, customers can call the Kroger Customer Service telephone number at 11-800-576-4377. For questions related to Shell, customers can call the Shell Customer Service telephone number at 1-888-GO-SHELL.
 
Do customers have to register for this new program at Shell?

No, customers can use their existing Kroger Plus Card to receive their Fuel Points. If they do not have an active Kroger loyalty card, they can apply for one, which is free and available at any Kroger store or online at www.kroger.com/mykroger - opens in new window.

How do customers know their privacy will be protected?

Kroger and Shell recognize that privacy is very important to customers, and they employ measures to protect the security and privacy of any personal information customers voluntarily provide. When will the program roll out to more Kroger markets/sites?

Following the successful rollout in select markets, future rollouts of the program will be determined by Shell and Kroger Co.

Are all Shell sites participating in this program?

For participating Shell stations, customers can visit shell.us/kroger or contact the Shell Customer Service telephone number at 1-888-GO-SHELL. In addition, participating Shell stations will have signage indicating they are participating in the grocer rewards program.

Why aren’t all Shell sites participating?

Shell-branded stations are owned and operated by third-party, independent wholesalers who are contractually allowed to display the Shell brand. The grocer rewards program is an opt-in program offered, but not required for the independent wholesalers to participate in.

Is Kroger now selling Shell gasoline?

No. The grocer rewards program does not change the formula of the fuel available at either Kroger Fuel Centers or Shell gas stations.
