Quaker State Driver Scores a Third-Place Finish with 2009 Winding Down
The World of Outlaws made a trip to Rolling Wheels Raceway Park on Saturday night for The New York 25. Quaker State's Steve Kinser has won at the track in each of the last two series races and holds a record 10 wins in his career at the 5/8-mile track. In addition, the 20-time champion has finished in the top-10 in all 26 of his career starts at the facility.
After qualifying the Quaker State Maxim in the runner-up spot, Kinser went on the finish his heat race in second as well. Next up for the Bloomington, Indiana native was the Crane Cams Dash used to determine the first 10 starting positions of the A-feature. Kinser went on to finish third in the dash putting himself on the second starting row for the 25-lap A-main.
Kinser finished third on Saturday night in the Quaker State Maxim to continue his impressive streak at Rolling Wheels. The 20-time series champion has now finished in the top-10 in all 27 of his starts at the semi-banked 5/8-mile
The World of Outlaws will take a weekend off before returning to action on Saturday, October 24 at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas.
