27/09/2009

Saturday's Event at Lernerville Speedway was Canceled because of Rain

Kinser on the track

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series was set for two nights of racing action this weekend with events at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Friday and Lernerville Speedway in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Kinser has an astounding record at the high-banked half-mile of Eldora Speedway with 34 A-feature wins and 15- top-10 finishes and was hoping to add another win to his resume in Friday's event at the track.

The Bloomington, Indiana native qualified the Quaker State Maxim in the sixth position before finishing 10th in his heat race.  Because of his heat race finish the King of Outlaws had to compete in the 12-lap B-main in order to qualify for the feature event.  Kinser won the B-main advancing himself into the A-main. Starting from the 13th position, the 20-time World of Outlaws champion gained four positions to move into the top-10 and finish ninth.

Saturday's race at Lernerville Speedway was postponed by rain and rescheduled for the end of October.
Kinser maintained his fourth-place position in the World of Outlaws Championship standings with just eight events remaining in the 2009 season.

Next up for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is a stop at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The double-header will begin on Friday, October 2 with racing action continuing on Saturday, October 3.
