Quaker State Driver Maintains Fourth Position in Championship Standings

Kinser on the dirt track

Steve Kinser scored an 11th-place finish and fifth-place run in two events this past week of racing action for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. With two stops in this week's schedule, the Quaker State driver was able to maintain his fourth-place position in the championship point standings.

The series made their first stop of the week on the semi-banked 3/8-mile track of Clay County Fair Speedway. The midweek contest saw Kinser qualify the Quaker State Maxim in the 22nd position before finishing his heat race in the fifth spot. The King of Outlaws went on to finish the A-main just outside the top-10 coming home in the 11th position.

Following Wednesday's event in Iowa the series moved on Deer Creek Speedway for some Saturday Night racing action. After qualifying in the seventh position at the state-of-the-art 3/8-mile track, Kinser went on to win his heat race in the Quaker State Maxim. The Bloomington, Indiana native earned a ninth-place finish in the Crane Cams Dash putting him in fifth row for the start of the A-main. Gaining four spots in the 35-lap feature event, Kinser earned yet another top-five finish with a fifth-place run.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Friday, September 25 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio followed by a stop at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 26.
