Quaker State Driver Remains Fourth in Championship Point Standings

World of Outlaws

The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series had a busy Labor Day Weekend with three events scheduled over four days. The first stop for the tour was the high-banked 3/10-mile of Skagit Speedway in Washington where Kinser had mixed results, struggling on the first night and pulling out a top-10 finish on the second night. The Labor Day event at Grays Harbor Raceway was cancelled due to persistent rain showers throughout the day.

Kinser struggled in Friday night's event at Skagit Speedway qualifying the Quaker State Maxim in the 24th spot. He followed that up with a fifth-place finish in his heat race before ending up 23rd in the 30-lap A-main.

The Quaker State team regrouped for Saturday night's finale at Skagit but struggled once again in qualifying this time earning the 28th spot. After finishing seventh in his heat race, Kinser had to move on to the B-main to qualify for the feature event. With only the top four finishers transferring to the feature, the Bloomington, Indiana native pulled out a third-place finish allowing him to advance to the night's main event. Starting in the 23rd spot for the 40-lap feature, Kinser worked his way through the field and pulled out a top-10 finish for the night.

The Gold Rush Tour continues for the World of Outlaws on Tuesday, September 8 at Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon, followed by three nights of racing in the 56th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California beginning on Thursday, September 10 and ending on Saturday, September 12.
