I've always liked this place and it's a completely different race track now. I've won a lot of races here.

Another busy week of racing action was in store for Steve Kinser and the Quaker State team with three stops beginning with the 21st Annual Brad Doty Classic at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio. Wrapping up the week was a double-header at Eldora Speedway which included the 26th edition of the Kings Royal.

The 20-time champion started the week off on a great note by winning the Brad Doty Classic for the second time in his career. Kinser won the inaugural Brad Doty Classic in 1989 and was able to pick up another win in the special event on Wednesday claiming his second victory of the 2009 season.

After qualifying ninth and winning his heat race, the Quaker State driver earned a third row starting position in the A-main with a sixth-place finish in the Crane Cams Dash. After taking the lead on the 35th lap and leading the remaining five circuits, the Bloomington, Indiana native crossed the start finish line on the point earning his 552nd career win.

"We have run good here every time we have come," noted Kinser. "Karl (Kinser) and me won races here in the late 70's and I'm giving up my age there, but everyone knows how old I am anyway, so it doesn't matter. I've always liked this place and it's a completely different race track now. I've won a lot of races here."
Following Wednesday's night win, the Quaker State team headed over to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for two nights of racing action. The Knight before the Kings Royal was held on Friday with the Kings Royal finale on Saturday night paying $50,000 to the winner.

On the first night of racing Kinser, who led all drivers with six wins in the event, qualified his Quaker State Maxim in the fourth spot and followed that up with another win in his heat race. After starting the A-main in the 11th spot, Kinser took the checkered flag in the same position finishing 11th.

On the second night at Eldora, Kinser qualified in the 21st position and finished second in his heat race. A sixth-place finish in the Crane Cams Dash put the Quaker State driver in the sixth starting position for the 40-lap A-main where he finished a disappointing 19th to round out the weekend.

The busy summer continues for the World of Outlaws Series with four stops this week beginning on Tuesday, July 21 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The weekend will kick off with a double header at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania beginning on Friday, July 24 with the series rounding out the weekend with a final stop at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, New York on Sunday, July 26.
