King of Outlaws Scores another Top-Five Finish at Paducah

Kinser on the track

The World of Outlaws headed to the Midwest for the first time of the season this past weekend for a doubleheader at Paducah International Raceway in Kentucky and I-55 Raceway in Missouri.

Racing action began on Friday at the high-banked 3/8-mile track of Paducah International Raceway. Steve Kinser had finished on the podium in three of his four career starts at Paducah in his Quaker State Maxim prior to Friday night's event.

The Bloomington, Indiana native started the night off on a strong note by winning his heat race after qualifying the No. 11 Quaker State Maxim in the 13th spot. The 20-time World of Outlaws champion finished seventh in the Crane Cams Dash after six laps of racing action putting himself in the seventh starting spot for the 30-lap A-main.

The Quaker State driver finished fourth in the feature picking up his series leading 11th top-10 finish of the season while remaining second in the series point standings just 28 markers behind the leader.

Following the event at Paducah the series moved on to the high-banked 1/3-mile oval of I-55 Raceway. Unfortunately persistent rain caused officials to cancel Saturday night's (April 18) event. The series will return to the race track on August 7 - 8 for a two-day event that will pay $20,000 to win.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Friday, April 24 at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas followed by a visit to Tri-State Speedway on Saturday, April 25 in Haubstadt, Indiana.
