2nd Annual Shell Deer Park "Strides for Schools" 5K Fun Run

Last weekend, almost 1,000 runners, walkers, strollers, wagon-riders, families and friends gathered together for the second annual Shell Deer Park Strides for Schools 5K Fun Run.

Course Map

The “Strides for Schools” Fun Run will be held on a 3.1 mile/5K US Track & Field certified course with both the start and finish lines at Dow Park. View the course map. - opens in new window

Registration - Submitted Online or Postmarked by March 23rd

Take advantage of reduced entry fees by registering early! 

• Adults:  $20
• 18 and Under:  $10

Registrants during this period are guaranteed a t-shirt and goodie bag with promotions and giveaways from our sponsors.

Late Registration:  March 24th – Race Day

• Adults: $30
• 18 and Under:  $15

4. Race day onsite registration will also be available from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m.

Packet Pickup

• Race packets can either be picked up before the race or on race day.
• Pre-Race Packet Pick-up: April 8th - 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Deer Park Community Center, 610 E. San Augustine, Deer Park
• Race Day Packet Pick-up: April 9th, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

We are seeking corporate sponsorships and material donations for the Fun Run. 100% of your monetary donation will go to the Deer Park Education Foundation. Please see sponsorship levels below.

• Summa Cum Laude $2,500 - Includes company name and logo on promotional materials (t-shirt, webpage, ads and signage), and 10 complimentary race entries
• Cum Laude $1,000 - Includes company name and logo on promotional materials (t-shirt, webpage, ads and signage), and 3 complimentary race entries
• Honor Roll $750 - Includes company name on promotional materials (t-shirt, webpage, ads and signage) and 2 free race entries
